Hi, my name is Hung, I came to the United States in 2021.
I am very grateful to have relatives who also live in Sacramento willing to be our family’s support. They also introduced me to the Church of God in Sacramento. I had never been to any church in China before. But the first time I went to church and joined their meeting, although many of them had lived in the United States for a long time and had stable jobs and lives, and some even grew up in the United States, I did not feel that they were indifferent to a new immigrant family like me. On the contrary, they received me very kindly. Although it was the first time for our family to meet them, we had a very warm and friendly feeling.
Even though we have a lot of things do not know how to handle, but the church members willing to help our family in different ways like the English documents or school notes that I don’t understand, they will explain and process for me one by one. I am really grateful to the people in the church. It’s like my family and always ready to help. I feel like the church is like a big family.
For my two children, their English is not that good. I always prayed for them and hoped they could have good teachers. I am very grateful that they have good teachers who are willing to use the extra time to teach them patiently. I saw that God is so good to us and knows our needs.
Another thing that I really thank you Lord for giving me the opportunity to apply for government low-income housing. From the time I applied to the day that our family can move in, it was less than 3 months. The location was also a good and uncomplicated place. In this matter I also learned to pray to God, and trust that He will prepare the best for us.
Although I don’t know God in many aspects, however, the teachings from the Bible and meetings, and the care and love from brothers and sisters that allowed me to see this invisible God. Thank the Lord, although I have not known Jesus for a long time, He has given me the opportunity to know and experience Him along the way in my life, and I am still learning how to put everything before Him and let Him be my guide.
It is wonderful to have this Lord in my life!
